Because it relies on complex mouse movements to validate a form, most bots fail and only live human-based submissions can validate visualCaptcha.
The system relies on displaying a set of icons/images and asking the user to move one of them to a target area.
Since spam bots can't tell icons/objects from one another, only a human will be able to drag the right icon to the target area.
For visually challenged users there's also audio support as well.
